1st...

I've noticed that just about all of our problems fit nicely into just a few areas and the best solutions are surprisingly easy. They end up simply making the most sense.

Somehow we get confused with how to handle things, probably because we are "inside our own fishbowl." It happens to us all... hence the saying: "You can't see the forest for the trees."

Anyway, I've had surprisingly good luck at helping people see their own "forest" and then usually the best choice of direction is easier to make. We really do already know the answers and should be much, much happier.

One thing I stress very seriously is that we must constantly try to understand ourselves before we can smartly try to understand anyone else. Call it building a foundation.

Good Karma (or whatever cosmic/heavenly force you believe in) is the most useful and fulfilling guide I use for choice making. Another useful method is what I call "Snap it back to Caveman days" to help me understand why we think or do many things. I'll explain this more later... along with some other guidelines that help keep me centered in good, decent directions.

Try to stay away from most personal advice given in beauty magazines. You'll realize years later that many of these writers should never have given advice at all. Instead... listen to an excellent spoken word song by Baz Luhrmann - "Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)" for great pointers. :)

Later.... peace & love,
